Ale is a biologist (colegiada N°15067) who graduated from the National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP) with a focus on public and ecological health. In addition to her research emphasis - parasitic diseases in domestic and wild animals - she has an interest in emerging diseases and various skills in molecular biology techniques. Ale is currently working as the coordinator of a project in collaboration with the Center for Biomedical and Environmental Technology Research (CITBM) as well as the University of Washington (UW). She is one of our biology advisors at Hoja Nueva, supporting both our wildlife and community research efforts as well as our rehabilitation programs at the Khan ReWilding Center.
