Miryam Quevedo Urday is a distinguished veterinarian and scientist with a degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (FMV UNMSM). She has also completed postgraduate studies in ecology conservation and zoology. Miryam has participated in various research studies across Peru including in situ conservation, wildlife rehabilitation, genetics of wild populations, and human dimensions with an emphasis on ecosystem conflicts, community empowerment, and health. Currently Miryam is a profesor and researcher at FMV UNMSM, and she is also our lead advising veterinarian, who has been working and supporting our wildlife rehabilitation initiatives since 2015.
